About Forward
JCCI Forward is an initiative of JCCI that seeks to engage men and women ages 25-45 in civic involvement and to prepare them for their future roles as community leaders. JCCI Forward is an ideal way to interact with city leaders, to develop community leadership, and to build a network of friends and associates who all share the common goal of improving our community.
Our Vision
To empower emerging leaders and community-minded individuals to affect positive change in Northeast Florida through a platform of results-oriented issue forums and leadership development programs.
History
We launched in July 2000 through a series of forums designed to explore priority issues identified at the 1999 Forum for The Future Conference, held at the World Golf Village. Our vision is to provide emerging leaders (age 25-45) with the information, tools, and venue they need to effect positive change in the Northeast Florida community. Our core business is leadership development. This is an inherent by-product of policy-level discussion. The group's work empowers individuals for action, who work through established volunteer and advocacy groups and leadership positions. We are lead by an Executive Committee, including a chair and chair-elect, which guide the overall process.
